This Standard harkens the quote “no man is an island” we are all human beings who have our good days and our bad day, knowing when to ask for help is the most important thing we can do to avoid burn out and insure students are getting the education they deserve even if that means dropping your ego and admitting that a student might not learn well in your classroom. This was a skill I was able to learn while I had my LOP because I was as green as a meadow, if I did not ask for help I would have floundered. Knowing all the support systems a student and you can access will make your time as a teacher more fruitful and create a community where we can help each other.
